SUBJECT: Saint John Energy Corporatization
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE REPORT FOR OPEN
SESSION OF COUNCIL
City staff have been working collaboratively with the staff from Saint John Energy
toward the corporatization of Saint John Energyto bring it in line with industry.
The purpose of this report is to seek authority for the City to petition the Province
for a private Bill that would corporatize the City’s Power Commission.
COUNCIL RESOLUTION
1.That the City petition the Province for a Private Bill that will corporatize
the Power Commission of the City of Saint John; and
2.That the City advertise the necessary Notice of Legislation pursuant to the
Standing Rules of the Legislative Assembly.
