A BY-LAW TO FORMULATE PLANS IN
THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY

ARRETE VISANT LA PREPARATION DE
PLANS EN CAS WURGENCE
Be it enacted by the Common Council of Le conseil communal de The City of Saint
The City of Saint John: John edicte:
The By-law to Formulate Plans in the
Event of an Emergency, enacted on the 12th day of
September 2005, is hereby amended as follows:
L'Arrete Visant la Preparation de Plans en
Cas d' Urgence, decrEtd le 12 septembre 2005, est
modifie comme suit:
1. Section 2 is amended by adding the following 1.
immediately after the definition of "municipality":
"S.J.E.M.O." means Saint John
Emergency Management Organization and
is synonymous with "C.E.M.O" - City
Emergency Measures Organization and
the Saint John Emergency Measures
Organization.
L'articIe 2 est modifie par I'adjonction de ce
qui suit immediatement apr6s la definition de
"municipality":
« OGUSJ » Organisation de gestion des
urgences de Saint John et est synonyme d'
« OMMU » - Organisation municipale des
mesures d'urgence et Organisation des
mesures d'urgence de Saint John,
2. Subsections 3(a) and 3(c) are repealed and 2. Les paragraphes 3 a) et 3 c) sont abroges et
replaced with the following: remplaces par ce qui suit:
(a) hereby establishes a municipal emergency
measures organization, which shall be the
S.J.E.M.O;
(c) shall appoint a committee consisting of the
Mayor and those Council Members as
appointed by Council to the City's Public
Safety Committee;
IN WITNESS WHEREOF The City of Saint John
has caused the Corporate Common Seal of the said
City to be affixed to this by-law the 131h day of
December, A.D. 2021 and signed by:
