By-law respecting the Regulation of Parking Amendment 2021-02-22A BY-LAW TO AMEND A BY-LAW RESPECTING THE REGULATION OF PARKING IN THE CITY OF SAINT JOHN, BY-LAW NUMBER LG-8, AND AMENDMENTS THERETO Be it enacted by the Common Council of The City of Saint John as follows: A By-law of The City of Saint John entitled "A By-law respecting the Regulation of Parking in The City of Saint John, By-law Number LG-8" and amendments thereto, enacted on the 27" day of January, A.D. 2020, is hereby amended as follows: 1. Subsection 8(1) is repealed and replaced with the following: "8(1) The fee for the use of a parking space located on a street listed in Schedule "A" shall be not less than two dollars ($2.00) per hour and not more than two dollars and twenty-five cents ($2.25) per hour." 2. Section 17 is repealed and replaced with the following: "17 A person who violates a provision of this By-law is guilty of an offence and is liable upon summary conviction to a penalty of not less than ninety dollars ($90.00) and not more than one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125.00)." 3. Le paragraphe 18(2) est abrogd et remplace par ce qui suit : 18(2) a) Toute personne qui contrevient a une disposition du prdsent arretd peut payer a la municipalitd dans un ddlai de quinze jours civils a compter de la date de ladite infraction, une pdnalitd administrative de trente dollars (30 $), et une fois 1'amende violation is not liable to be prosecuted therefor. (c) A person who violates any provision of this By-law may pay to the City an administrative penalty of sixty-five dollars ($65.00) if payment is made more than thirty calendar days after the date of such violation but before conviction in the Provincial Court of New Brunswick, and upon such payment, the person who committed the violation is not liable to be prosecuted therefor."
