Your Worship and Councillors:
SUBJECT: Police Staffing
Given the considerable uncertainty regarding the available revenues for 2012 and
the outcome of the pension reform process, it would be prudent to request the
Police Commission to refrain from any hiring until such time as the 2012 budget
process is finalized.
Recommendation
That Common Council request the Saint John Board of Police Commissioners to
refrain from any hiring until such time as the 2012 budget process is finalized.
