In 2010 there were three separate projects that received support through the Recreational Infrastructure Canada Fund: Rainbow Park, Rockwood Phase 11 and Fleming Court. The actual final costs of the latter two were lower than anticipated based on actual tender unit prices and final construction quantities. ACOA's support for these projects is capped at a fixed percentage of the eligible construction costs. As such the total amount of support would be reduced. We have worked closely with our partners at ACOA to redirect these funding shortfalls towards Rainbow Park where construction costs were higher than originally anticipated. With this amendment the total support for these three projects increases from $754,700 to $762,800 (approximately). This is a time sensitive document, requiring signature and return before March 31, 2011. We recommend that the attached amendment be signed and executed.
