PUBLIC HEARING Proposed Municipal Plan amendment to delete and replace Subsection 2.4.3 respecting pits and quarries policies, amend Section 2.4.7.11 which deals with the policies respecting developments previously approved as Heavy Industrial developments at 499 Ashburn Road, 406 Chesley Drive, 341 Loch Lomond Road, 776-800 Somerset Street, west of Highway No.7 near junction of Highway No. 177 to Grand Bay and others, and Brookville, the quarry area between the Throughway and Rothesay Road, and to remove the word "(quarry)" with respect to the approval of Heavy Industrial Development at 1360 Rothesay Road, to facilitate the adoption of the proposed new Pits and Quarries Zone having appropriate standards for the regulation of pits and quarries, and to establish a process which deals with the control of short-term excavations which are not located in the Pits and Quarries Zone, as initiated by the City of Saint John. Proposed Zoning By-law text amendment to amend various sections, to delete Section 880, and add a new Section 680 called the Pits and Quarries (PQ) zone. Report from Planning Advisory Committee re proposed amendments. Letter in opposition to proposed amendments. COUNCIL MEMBERS 5.
