Committee of the Whole Open Session
1(a) Leisure Services
Referring to a submitted report, B. Morrison, presented the Leisure Service department’s 2009
proposed budget and provided Council with an overview of the department.
(Councillor Titus withdrew from the meeting)
(The Mayor withdrew from the meeting at which time Deputy Mayor Chase replaced him as the
Chair.)
1(b) Corporate Planning
Referring to a submitted report, A. Beckett; and Kim Graham, Manager of Programs and
Priorities, presented the Corporate Planning department’s 2009 proposed budget and provided
Council with an overview of the department.
On motion of Councillor Court
Seconded by Councillor Higgins
RESOLVED that the Corporate Planning Department re-
appear before Council with a 5% reduction in its budget request.
Councillor Court withdrew his motion to which the seconder agreed.
1(c) Information Technology
(The Mayor re-entered the meeting and replaced the Deputy Mayor as Chair of the meeting.)
Referring to a submitted report, Ian Mackinnon, Manager of Information Technology, presented
the Information Technology department’s 2009 proposed budget and provided Council with an
overview of the department.

Referring to a submitted report, Nancy Moar, Communications Manager, presented the
Communication department’s 2009 proposed budget and provided Council with an overview the
department.
2. Adjournment
The Mayor declared the meeting adjourned at 12:20 p.m.
