Minutes of the Portion of the Committee of the Whole Meeting Open to the Public
Monday, November 10, 2008, 5:00 p.m.

1. Call To Order – Prayer
Mayor Court called the meeting to order and Deacon Bob Freill of the Catholic Diocese
of Saint John offered the opening prayer.
On motion of Councillor McGuire
Seconded by Councillor Sullivan
RESOLVED that the meeting of Council convene in
Committee of the Whole.
Question being taken, the motion was carried
1. Standing Committee System
Referring to a submitted presentation, Mr. Woods provided Council with background
information regarding the proposed standing committee system.
2. Terms & Conditions of Employment – Management Professional Personnel
Referring to a submitted report, Bill Leudey, President of Leudey Consultants Inc,
provided council with an outline of current and proposed coverage respecting disability
benefits for the Management/Professional staff.
On motion of Councillor McGuire
Seconded by Councillor Sullivan
RESOLVED that the terms and conditions of
employment – management professional personnel be directed to the City Manager for a
report and recommendation.
Question being taken, the motion was carried
On motion of Councillor Snook
Seconded by Councillor Sullivan
RESOLVED that the meeting of Council reconvene
in Regular Session.
Question being taken, the motion was carried.
