Minutes of the Portion of the Committee of the Whole Meeting Open to the Public
Monday, September 20,2004,5:00 o'clock p.m.

Present:
Mayor McFarlane,
Deputy Mayor Hooton and Councillors Chase, Court, Farren, Ferguson, McGuire,
Tait, and White

T. Totten, City Manager; J. Nugent, City Solicitor; A. Beckett, Commissioner of
Finance and Corporate Services; J. Baird, Commissioner of Planning and
Development; R. Simonds, Fire Chief; P. Woods, Deputy City Manager and
Common Clerk, and E. Gormley, Assistant Common Clerk.
1. MeetinQ Called To Order
The Mayor called the Committee of the Whole meeting to order, with consideration given
to a report from the City Manager requesting that Council members indicate a date
preference on a submitted form for a tour of the Musquash Infrastructure Site Visit to be
returned to the Common Clerk's office.
Council indicated its preference for a presentation from Marsh Insurance on October 12
during a regular Council meeting.
2. Discussion of Confidential Matters
On motion of Councillor McGuire
Seconded by Councillor Farren
RESOLVED that the public be excluded from the meeting for the
duration of the discussion on the following matters Land Issue 10.2(4)(d); Transit,
Parking, Harbour Bridge and Airport Commission 10.2(4)(c) (Referred Sept. 7, 2004);
Personal Issue 10.2(4)(b) (Referred September 13, 2004), and Personnel Issue
10.2(4)0).
Question being taken, the motion was carried.
