Call to Order 1.1 Land Acknowledgement Councillor Hickey read aloud the Land Acknowledgement and called for a moment of reflection. "The City of Saint John/Menaquesk is situated is the traditional territory of the Wolastoqiyik/Maliseet.The Wolastoqiyik/Maliseet along with their Indigenous Neighbours, the Mi'Kmaq/Mi'kmaw and Passamaquoddy/Peskotomuhkati signed Peace and Friendship Treaties with the British Crown in the 1700s that protected their rights to lands and resources." 1.2 National Anthem The Saint John Symphony Youth Orchestra performed O Canada by video. 2. Approval of Agenda Moved by Councillor Sullivan, seconded by Councillor Stewart: RESOLVED that the agenda of March 27, 2023 be approved with the addition of item 6.1 Non -Disclosure Agreement with Brunswick Brokers. MOTION CARRIED. 3. Disclosures of Conflict of Interest 4. Consent Agenda 4.1 RESOLVED that as recommended in the submitted report M&C 2023-82: Community Development Fund Agreement: Forest Hill Park Lighting Renewal and City Market Alarm System Upgrades the City enter into an Agreement with the Regional Development Corporation for funding under the Province of New Brunswick Community Development Fund for the following projects: Forest Hill Park Lighting Renewal and City Market Alarm System Upgrades, Project No. 16088, in the form and upon the terms and conditions as submitted; and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the said Agreement. MOTION CARRIED. Moved by Councillor Hickey, seconded by Councillor Killen: RESOLVED that the recommendation set out in the consent agenda item be adopted. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 5. Committee of the Whole 6.1 Non -Disclosure Aareement with Brunswick Brokers Moved by Councillor Sullivan, seconded by Councillor Hickey: RESOLVED that as recommended by the Committee of the Whole, having met on March 27, 2023 Common Council approve that the City enter into the Non -Disclosure Agreement with Brunswick Brokers Limited generally in the form as presented to Committee of the Whole at its meeting held March 27, 2023, for the purpose of protecting confidential information and that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute the said Non -Disclosure Agreement and any other documents ancillary thereto. MOTION CARRIED. 7. Adjournment Moved by Councillor Sullivan, seconded by Councillor Hickey: RESOLVED that the meeting of Common Council held on March 27, 2023, be adjourned. MOTION CARRIED. La Ville de Saint John/Menaquesk est situ6e sur le territoire traditionnel des Wolastoqiyik/Mal6cites. Les Wolastoqiyik/Malbcites, ainsi que leurs voisins autochtones, les Mi'kmaq/Mi'kmaw et les Passamaquoddy/Peskotomuhkati, ont sign6 des trait6s de paix et d'amiti6 avec la Couronne britannique dans les ann6es 1700 qui prot6gent leurs droits a I'6gard des ressources ». 5.2 Hymne national L'Orchestre des jeunes de Saint John interpr6te O Canada en vid6o. 6.
