Minutes of the Portion of the Special Committee of the Whole Meeting Open to the Public
Monday, January 27th, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.

The Committee of the Whole meeting, convened in public earlier this date, proceeded to
deal with the following matters: 1.1 The Scope of Impact of the Energy Sector on New
Brunswick and, more specifically, Saint John
1. Meeting Called To Order
The Mayor called the Committee of the Whole meeting to order.
2.The Scope of Impact of the Energy Sector on New Brunswick and, more specifically
Saint John
Dr. Robert MacKinnon, UNBSJ, provided a brief overview of the energy sector in New
Brunswick and introduced Mr. David Campbell of Jupia Consultants Inc.
Referring to the submitted presentation, Mr. Campbell discussed the energy sector, its potential
impact on the economy and how it fosters economic growth.
On motion of Councillor MacKenzie
Seconded by Councillor Lowe
RESOLVED that the meeting of January 27, 2014 be adjourned.
Question being taken, the motion was carried.
The Mayor declared the meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m
